Overview

Suzuki, one of the most prominent Japanese auto makers, officially revealed their facelifted model luxury sedan named as Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire on 26 March 2008 in India. This car is the sedan version of Suzuki Swift. The Dzire is the outcome of Suzuki’s indigenous project which was started in 2005, comprising the designing and development of three-box notchback model of Swift hatchback. For Bangladesh auto market, this exquisite sedan is made available in 6 variants named as LXi, LDi, VXi, VDi, ZXi and ZDi. In addition, all of these trims are equipped with a range of refined petrol and diesel engine alternatives. Variants powered with 1.2 litre K-series petrol engine are capable of producing the maximum power output of about 84.3 PS at 6000 rpm, along with the peak torque of about 115 Nm at 4000 rpm. Whereas, the 1.2 litre diesel engine coupled with CRDi fuel distribution generates the maximum power of 75 PS at 4000 rpm and the high torque comes at 190 Nm at 2000 rpm. Further, these engines are coupled with 5-speed manual transmission giving exceptional performance in terms of power, fuel consumption and acceleration.
