Kia Sorento, a mid-size crossover SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) produced by South Korean automaker Kia came into market in the year 2002. The name Sorento refers to mountains in San Deigo and south Italian town of Sorento. In year 2009, the second generation model of Sorento was launched with the motive of giving a tough competition to Chevrolet Captiva, Hyundai Santa Fe and Mazda CX-7. Sorento is an affordable mid-size SUV designed with a premium cabin, great valued class and pleasant driving dynamics. With its rugged looks, this SUV offers 3 rows of seats with a spacious room for seven passengers.

Kia Sorento is powered by a 2.2 litre E-VGT Diesel engine 6-Speed Automatic with All-Wheel Drive which churns out a maximum power of 145 kW at 3800 rpm along with the peak torque of 422 Nm at 1800-2500 rpm. The advanced engine deployed in Sorento can dispatch 0-100 kmph speed in approximately 9.3 seconds, clocking a top speed of 200 kmph which is appreciable.
